Hornsteins Hamilton is part of the Lanarkshire Eye-Health Network Scheme (LENS).

This means that we triage and treat emergency eye conditions, such as a red sore eye or sudden changes to your vision such as flashes of lights or floaters.

When you call we will ask you about your eyes, how red they are, how sore they are and if your vision is affected. We will get as much information as we can to judge how quickly you need to be seen by us. Some conditions are emergencies, and we will try to see you that day while others may not require urgent assessment.

Treatments vary from just giving advice to sending you to the Eye Clinic. The latter is not that common at all, so please don’t let that put you off coming in.
